Iron Samurai Red LED Watch

If I should ever buy a new watch it probably would be the Iron Samurai – not because it is a spectacularly ugly bracelet-style watch made from “Samurai sword carbonized steel folded 1000x over,” – but no one could tell it is a watch. Now don’t call me selfish or mean but I am kind of tired of hearing “do you have the time” or “what time is it”. Well what can I say, it past for a crazy digital watch and it’s quite cheap.

Introducing The Iron Samurai, a lava red Japanese inspired LED watch from an alternative future which gives its wearer cool omnipotence by rewriting the rules of how temporal data (time) should be displayed.

You mean this watch really tells the time? Yes. Even though The Iron Samurai embodies Tokugawan style and Shogunate design with its blood red numerals encased in stark samurai sword steel like the final battle between all the forces of good and evil in the multiverse, this Japanese LED watch does in fact tell the time and does so really efficiently too!

Tap the top button on the right side of the timepiece and watch the screen light up like surfacing lava. Tap the bottom button to make the numbers blink and hence adjust them. In Time mode, the top row represents hour information, while the bottom row represents minutes information. In date mode, top and bottom represent month and day.

2012 Opel Ampera

The revolutionary Opel Ampera will be the first emission-free, electrically driven automobile in Europe suitable for everyday driving. With its Voltec electric propulsion system providing lively acceleration and high levels of refinement, the five-door Opel Ampera seats four passengers in comfort, offers a useful trunk for their luggage, and features an extended range of more than 500 kilometers.

“Driving electrically is not only about ecology,” said global vehicle line executive and chief engineer, Frank Weber. “Driving electrically is also great fun. Instantaneous, silent torque of 370 Newton meters under your right foot feels like flying!”

Electricity drives the Opel Ampera’s wheels at all times and speeds. For trips up to 60 km (MVEG), power is supplied by the electricity stored in the cutting-edge, 16-kWh, lithium-ion battery.

While driving on electricity delivered by the battery, the Opel Ampera emits zero CO2. When the battery’s energy is depleted, a gasoline/E85-fueled engine-generator seamlessly provides electricity to power the electric drive unit while simultaneously sustaining the charge of the battery. This mode of operation extends the range to 500 kilometers, until the battery can be charged by plugging the vehicle’s on-board charge system into a standard household 230v outlet.

Leaked Info on the Nexus One: $530 Unlocked, $180 With T-Mobile

More information about the Nexus One got leaked and it seems that not everyone will find it extremely exciting. Gizmodo have gotten its hands on leaked pics of the Nexus One’s landing and purchase page and I don’t thinks it’s something everyone would like. First, according to the pages, the phone will be available in two ways: as a $529.99 unsubsidized and unlocked device, and as a $179.99 T-Mobile device locked to a two year contract. If the ‘if you cancel your contract within 120 days you have to pay a $350 fee or return the phone to Google, and any existing customer that wishes to buy the phone has to switch to the Nexus One plan‘ is really true’, I’d don’t even see the purpose in getting one of these Android.

Well, there’s something to look forward to from the Nexus One – not that it’s anything really important – but having two lines of personalized text on a metallic bar on the back of the device is not such a bad idea… don’t plan on returning it if you do though (consider it a partner for life).

Here is some of the information gather by the guys over Gizmodo:
