PostHeaderIcon Shelby and Roush Ford Mustang SR-71

This beast was fitted with 20-inch wheels in rear with 19-inch rims up front. The Shelby and Roush team added a custom glass roof surrounded by a matte gray finish with unique accents and graphics. As for the interior, these engineering experts upgraded the navigation, put in new custom design floor mats, a new steering wheel, and instrument cluster from Ford Racing. To top it off, Recaro race seats signed by Jack Roush and Caroll Shelby were installed to create a one of a kind unique ride called the Roush and Shelby Ford Mustang SR-71. This vehicle will be auctioned off on July 29th to support the Young Eagles program of the Experimental Aircraft Association.

Under the hood, the Roush & Shelby Mustang SR-71 features a 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 engine with a 2.3L Whipple Twin Screw Supercharger and a Roush intake. The car tuners also installed a handling pack, a new exhaust from Ford Racing and a roll cage but … they haven’t released any performance figures of this special Mustang yet.

Ford of Europe will debut its stylish and technologically advanced new Ford Mondeo at the 2010 Moscow International Automobile Salon (MIAS) on August 25, 2010. The new model will go on sale later this year and features a restyled exterior and uprated interior, new high-efficiency Ford EcoBoost petrol and TDCi diesel powertrains plus a host of new driver comfort and convenience features and safety technologies.

The first official preview images issued today show that, following similar updates to the Ford S-MAX and Galaxy models earlier this year, the new Mondeo is the latest Ford car to benefit from the continuing evolution of Ford kinetic design.

While the Ford Mondeo is renowned as being stylish and versatile, offering high levels of driving enjoyment and comfort to its occupants, the new model is set to build on this reputation with its fresh new look for all three body styles – 4-door, 5-door and wagon.

PostHeaderIcon 2011 Ford Mustang DUB Edition

Ford Motor Company is teaming up with automotive lifestyle magazine DUB to roll out a specially customized version of the new 2011 Mustang, introducing the iconic sports car to a new generation of enthusiasts.

The Ford Mustang DUB Edition is based on Ford’s outstanding new 3.7-liter V6 Mustang and will be available in the fall of 2010. A collaboration between Ford, DUB and Roush Industries, the Ford Mustang DUB Edition will be offered as a coupe, convertible or with the best-of-both-worlds Glass Roof option. Both six-speed manual and automatic transmissions are available.

“The Ford Mustang is the most customized vehicle in the world, and this collaboration pushes the boundaries even further,” said Fritz Wilke, Mustang brand manager. “We’re proud of our relationship with DUB and Roush and how they worked together to bring a new look to Mustang, helping the 2011 Ford Mustang DUB Edition appeal to a whole new audience.”

The 5.0 is back! The 2011 Ford Mustang GT arrives with an all-new advanced 5.0-liter V-8 engine, developed by a passionate cadre of enthusiastic engineers who rallied around the common goal of delivering more than 400 horsepower.

The modern 5.0-liter four-valve Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT) V-8 engine in the new Ford Mustang GT will deliver 412 horsepower and 390 ft.-lb. of torque. At the same time, fuel economy is projected to be better than the previous model and unsurpassed in the segment.

The 412 horsepower and 390 ft.-lb. of torque delivered by the 2011 Mustang GT 5.0-liter V-8 represent significant increases versus the 2010 model year output levels.

The six-speed automatic transmission on the 2011 Ford Mustang GT will deliver up to an estimated 25 mpg highway and 17 in the city. This is up from 23 mpg highway and 17 city for the 2010 model. Six-speed manual transmission Ford Mustang GT models for 2011 are projected to deliver 24 mpg highway and 16 city, matching the 2010 model but delivering significantly more horsepower and performance feel.

PostHeaderIcon 2010 Hurst Ford Racing Mustang Challenge Pace Car

Hurst Performance Vehicles, a company responsible for some of the most iconic pace cars in racing history, will once again debut a special-edition Mustang built to serve as the official pace car for the 2010 Ford Racing Mustang Challenge Series.

The 2010 Hurst Mustang pace car will debut during the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge race at Virginia International Raceway on April 25, 2010.

After its run with the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge, this unique and highly-collectible Pace Car will make special appearances at the Hot Rod Power Tour, at numerous Larry H. Miller dealerships across the country and even at SEMA, before being auctioned for charity in January 2011. Proceeds of the auction will benefit the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, formed to support research towards the diagnosis, treatment and development of a cure for pediatric cancer, and to provide support and hope to children and families undergoing treatment, as well as those who have lost children due to cancer. Through Hatch’s house of hope, the Austin Hatcher Foundation provides a landmark group of educational, emotional and social skills development programs essential to help cancer stricken children and their families succeed within their community.

PostHeaderIcon Barrett-Jackson and Roush Ford Mustang

Roush Performance and Barett-Jackson teamed up to created a special high performance edition of the Ford Mustang that will be limited to just 50 units, half of them based on the 2010 model and the rest on the 2011 version. This special edition Stang received several Roush body components such as a new upper and lower billet grille and a new set of 20? chrome wheels wrapped in high performance Cooper RS3 tires.

The interior of the Barrett-Jackson and Roush Ford Mustang received enhancements such as leather seats with the Barrett-Jackson logo, Roush illuminated sill plates, new pedals, short throw shifter, and a limited edition interior badge with serial number engraved. The 2010 MY Mustang models will also get a small performance boost with a Roush charger and tuning to increase the V8’s power to 540-horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque.
