2010 Aprilia Shiver 750

Aprilia finally got round to publishing more than three photos of the 2010 Aprilia Shiver 750. Rather than an all-new bike, this Shiver is a facelift, with revisions made to address owner criticisms like flawed ergonomics and a too-tall seat as well as freshening up the looks.
In addition to being .2 inches lower at 31.5 inches tall, the seat is 2 inches narrower, a change that should make it much easier for shorter riders to reach the ground. The pegs are also further back and the bars are further forward, creating a sportier riding position with more of the rider’s weight over the front wheel. Perhaps the biggest mechanical change is the reduction in rear wheel width from 6.0 to 5.5.” The same 180/55 rear tire is retained, meaning the narrower wheel will squeeze the tire together a bit more, creating a taller profile and thus speeding up the steering. There’s also wavy brakes discs. If that all sounds a little underwhelming, it is, the big story here is the new looks.

2010 Vyrus 987 C3 4V
The 2010 Vyrus 987 C3 4V is dubbed the most powerful production motorcycle in the world. There are two other versions of the 987 are available, each without a supercharger but still offers either 170- or 184 horsepower and weighing under 360 pounds.
2010 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight Motorcycle
The new Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight motorcycle is a factory custom in the legendary tradition of the hot rod Sportster line with the raw, elemental appeal of the Dark Custom™ bikes.
Riding low with a slammed suspension and featuring the classic 2.1-gallon “peanut” fuel tank, the Forty-Eight backs up its bulldog appearance with the performance of its blacked out and polished rubber-mounted Evolution® 1200 cc V-Twin engine. The low solo seat, under-mounted mirrors, side mount license plate, clean rear fender and tall and fat front tire emphasize the Forty Eight’s focus on chiseled customization.
And while the Forty-Eight model may break bad when it comes to radical attitude and straight-on style, it won’t break the bank starting at just $10,499 MSRP in Vivid Black.
“With its classic bulldog shoulders stance, the Forty-Eight strikes a distinctive look and low profile that could only come from Harley-Davidson,” said Ray Drea, Harley-Davidson Senior Director of Styling. “The Forty-Eight model has a collective past life experience and broken-in look that is raw and authentic.”

Jaguar Motorcycle – Taking A Ride On The BIG CAT

OK, lets not haste to jump on the electric motorcycle just yet and take a good look around for a good-ole gas-engined motorcycle. If you can find any here is one for you.
If you are a lover of the big cats and a sucker for unique motorcycles then I can only imagine how you would feel riding on a massive Leaping Cat sculpture capable of hitting speeds of 50 miles per hour. This Leaping Cat know as NightShadow (typical since the Jaguar is a hunter) has an air-cooled Buell S3′s 1200cc V-twin powerplant.
If you are much of a fan of the big cats, Massow has designed a slew of other concepts that take well-known logos and turns them into something resembling a motorcycle.

Electric Motorcycles – Mission One and TTXGP Motorcycle

Mission One
Mission Motors unveiled the bike, dubbed Mission One, at the TED conference and said it will begin selling them next year for $69,000 apiece. Although several electric motorcycles have been announced in recent weeks, Mission Motors sticks out because its 12 employees have worked for Tesla, Ducati North America and Intel, and the bike they’re building could set a new benchmark for EVs of all kinds.
The prototype, wearing bodywork designed by Yves Behar, is based on a Ducati 900 was designed entirely in-house by Mission Motors. Power comes from a 3-phase AC induction motor and a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery the company claims delivers 150 miles and recharges in just two hours at 240 volts. That climbs to eight hours at 120 volts.
Top-shelf hardware includes Ohlins suspension at both ends, four-piston Brembo brakes and Marchesini forged wheels. The components – and the claimed 150 horsepower – put the bike on par with hardcore sportbikes like the Ducati 1198. That’s exactly what North had in mind.

Electric Powered Motorcycle – The VeretiGO

Since some vehicle manufacturers are designing electric cars, it’s about time someone comes up with the idea of an electric motorcycle and Maarten Timmer is just the man to do so. Designer Maarten Timmer is looking forward to recreating bike-racing magic with an Electrical Powered Motorcycle. His plan is the VertiGO. But don’t be quick to make judgments; the VertiGO will feature: electric propulsion, low noise and emissions, a silent motor, high torque, very fast acceleration, maximum speed on the straights (100 to 150 km ride on a “battery pack”).
The VeretiGO is a concept motorcycle illustrating the possibilities offerd by a revolutionary drive train
This project puts ingrained prejudices behind and shows that an electric powered motorcycle will be high-tech, radically different, nice to ride and a very special experience! It is a showpiece for the motor industry which smoothens the acceptation of electrical powered motorcycles and will leave prejudices and taboos behind!
