The Acer Predator gaming desktops pack high-end hardware into a quite unusual case. The Predator is equipped with a quad-core Core i7 CPU with liquid cooling, a NVIDIA GTX 470 video cards with support for 3-way SLI. Acer uses up to 12GB of RAM inside the desktop. The new desktop is also 3D ready. A hot-swap drive bay can have up to 1.5TB of storage and four internal drive bays are offered with up to 8TB of storage. The new Predator desktop starts at $1999 and is available now.

Digital Storm has launched a new OPS Gaming Series dubbed the “Special OPS Series” which appears to be comprised of 10 uniquely named base systems ranging in price from $987 to $2,429. Despite the lower prices, Digital Storm says its Special Ops range has the same build quality as Black Ops PCs. The Aspire One AO721 boast a 11.6-inch CrystalBrite LED backlit display fitted in a black matte, mesh-textured casing that is not at all fingerprint or smudge friendly. It is powered by an AMD Athlon II Neo K125 processor, complemented by 2GB of DDR3 random access memory and the ATI Radeon HD 4225 for graphics processing, with 383MB of dedicated memory and 250GB of storage. The Aspire One AO721 is available with a starting price of $429.99.

The Aspire One AO521, the smaller of the two, sports a 10.1-inch display and packs just 1GB of DDR3 memory. The Aspire One AO521 features 250GB of storage and the same processor at the AO721 model. Apart from the additional Bluetooth on the AO521, for enabling users to connect their various devices, such as wireless headsets and smartphones, the two netbooks pack the same connectivity, like HDMI, Wi-Fi and Ethernet LAN. Today Lenevo has announced the IdeaPad Y560d which is the company’s first multimedia laptop with a 3D display. The 15.6-inch Y560d 3D-enabled multimedia laptop, features the TriDef 3D technology solution, which includes a 3D screen with a 1366×768 pixel resolution, software and glasses. As for other hardware, the Y560d includes up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to a 750GB hard-drive (plus optional 32GB/64GB SSD), a choice of DVD or Blu-ray and standard WiFi b/g/n and Gigabit Ethernet. Other options include Bluetooth and 3G WWAN, while there’s a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a USB/eSATA combo, three regular USB ports, ExpressCard and both VGA and HDMI outputs.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y560d laptop is available by the end of June on Lenovo.com and will start at $1199.99.

Razer has unleashed upon the gaming world a new set of Gaming Peripherals with StarCraft II theme: Wings of Liberty. This line of peripherals includes the Razer Spectre StarCraft II Gaming Mouse, the Razer Marauder StarCraft II Gaming Keyboard and the Razer Banshee StarCraft II Gaming Headset.

Samsung has announced two more Android smartphones today, the Samsung Galaxy 3 I5800 and the Galaxy 5 I5500.

Kicking things off with the Samsung Galaxy 5 which sports a 2.8 inch QVGA screen and features 802.11b/g wireless networking, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and a 3 megapixel camera. When launched it will run the Google Android 2.1 OS along with the TouchWiz 3.0 UI built by Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy 3 I5800, the larger of the two smartphones, comes with a 3.2 inch WQVGA screen, a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, integrated 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0.

The Samsung Galaxy 3 and Samsung Galaxy 5 will go on sale in Europe in July, there are no details on pricing as yet.

A new addition to Sony Ericsson’s line one Xperia smartphone has been announced, the Xperia X8. It uses a similar UI as the X10 mini and probably will be powered by Google Android 1.6 when launch. Specs and features of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 includes a 3 inch touchscreen, a 3.2 megapixel camera, supoorts GSM GPRS/EDGE networks at 850/900/1800 and 1900 MHz as well as UMTS HSPA 900/2100 and UMTS HSPA at 800/850/1900 and 2100. Other connectivity includes WiFi and Bluetooth, and it is powered by a 600MHz processor.
