MSI GT660R/GX660R Gaming Laptop Hits Japan

The latest gaming notebook from MSI, the MSI GT660R, introduced in the US a month ago, is now available in Japan. The 16-incher gaming laptop is powered by a 1.73GHz Intel Core i7-740QM quad-core CPU and sports a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX285M graphics card, 6GB DDR3 RAM (up to 12GB), up to 1TB of HDD (2HDD in RAID 0), and a Blu-Ray drive. The 16-inch panel boast a resolution of 1366 x 768, the Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, the Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, the Gigabit LAN, USB 3.0 port (x2), USB2.0 pots, an eSATA/USB Combo port, VGA, and HDMI port. Lastly, the gaming laptop features a 9 cell battery that offer only 3hours of life span, an HD webcamera (720p), and LED Lights on the Laptop’s edge.

The GX660R is quite similar to the GT660R. It comes with a 15.6-inch LED LCD Backlighted screen in WXGA Resolution (1366×768) or WUXGA resolution. It boasts up to 12 GB of DDR3, 500GB of HDD, and an ATI Radeon Mobility HD5870 (1GB of VRAM) GPU. For the rest of the specs, as well as the design, this laptop designed for the gamers are the same. Lastly, the MSI GX660R features a Turbo Drive Engine that should boost the system by simply pressing on a dedicated button, but also a Cooler Boost that increases the fan rotation speed.

ASUS ROG Rampage III Formula Motherboard Heads to Market

Asus has announced that the ROG Rampage III Formula Motherboard will be on the market soon, but unfortunately, they fail to tell reveal a date and the price.

The ROG Rampage III Formula sports three PCI-Express 2.0 x16 expansion slots, 3-way NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFireX. The ICH10R southbridge gives out six SATA 3 Gb/s ports while an additional controller provides two SATA 6 Gb/s ports. Connectivity includes ASUS SupremeFX X-Fi audio, dual gigabit Ethernet (including one Intel NIC that provides teaming support), two USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth, and a number of USB 2.0 ports.

The ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) Rampage III Formula brings together numerous features and advantages demanded by contemporary PC gamers. It uses the Intel X58 chipset, enabling support for some of the fastest processors available, including the i7-980X six-core CPU. Mad Catz Announce New Range of Cyborg amBX Compatible Products

AeroCool Strike-X Gaming Mid-Tower Case

Taiwan’s own Aerocool has revealed a new gamer-focused product, the Strike-X tower case that features a steel structure, a mesh design on the sides, top and front, and an all-black or black/red color scheme. It is built for rough and touch use for the LAN party-animals, and comes in total-black, or with a dash of red. Drive bays included are 9 5.25″ (with internal 3.5″ cages detachable). The ventilation system includes 120 mm fans on the side and rear, and one 140 mm fan on top. The Strike-X costs €59.90 and should already be shipping.
