Samsung Unveils World’s First Portable 3D Blu-Ray Player

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. announced to the U.S. the availability of the world’s first portable Blu-ray player with 3D capability. The Samsung BD-C8000 delivers true 1080p HD video, enables 3D playback when connected to a 3D-capable TV and used with 3D glasses, and features a brilliant 10.1-inch screen. It includes built-in Wi-Fi for easy access to advanced connectivity features, including an expanding library of content and applications via Samsung Apps and HDMI 1.4a support. With three hours of battery life, the Samsung BD-C8000 is the perfect travel companion for anyone who wants an outstanding entertainment experience while on the go.

Samsung also introduced three additional standalone Blu-ray players and three new Blu-ray Home Theater Systems that deliver crystal-clear picture and sound quality with new features that will excite both the first-time owner and the audiophile.

Sennheiser Releases Wireless Headphone Trio

The RS 160, RS 170 and RS 180 wireless headphones have been specifically designed in order to offer users quite a wide radius of wireless freedom, namely up to 328 feet (RS 160 up to 65 feet, RS 170 up to 262 feet and RS 180 up to 328 feet). It’s impressive wireless functioning range is achieved with the help of the 2.4 GHz digital radio transmission provided by Kleer technology, which ensures smooth transmission with a high signal-to-noise ratio of 85 dBA.

The RS 160 is the entry-level model, featuring closed headphones that deliver detailed sound and powerful bass reproduction, while the volume can be controlled directly on the headphones while the RS 170 version, which is also a closed model and delivers dynamic bass boost and switchable surround sound simulation. Finally, the top-of-the-range RS 180 model is targeted at sound purists, its open design ensuring a particularly natural listening experience which can be set to individual preferences.

Sony DVP-FX950 with LED backlight and 7.5 hours of battery life

The new DVP-FX950 from Sony Electronics is just another DVD player but this one has 2 key features: a 9-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 800×480 pixels that features an LED backligh and a viewing angle of 180 degrees; and a 7.5 hours battery life (up 25% from the previous model). The player has a USB port which allows you to view JEPGs or listen MP3s via your USB stick. Sony plans to start selling the DVP-FX950 in Japan on June 16 for $390.

Cowon J3 Portable Media Player

The Cowon J3 portable media player will come in a range of sizes which include 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB and it features a built in rechargeable battery that will give you up to 64 hours of audio playback and up to 11 hours of video playback. As well as the touch screen controls it comes with a range of controls that let you play/pause and forward/rewind you music an videos. The Cowon J3 Portable Media Player will go on sale in South Korea shortly. There are no details on when it will be available in the US and Europe and also no details on how much it will retail for.
